Meet Keri Jones!"A career built around homes. A passion built around transforming them." - That sums up most of what you're about to hear about me, but not quite everything.I've always felt that beautiful spaces should do more than just look beautiful. They should flow, look inviting and instantly lift your mood. Most importantly they should be functional, in fact multi-functional to never collect dust.My professional career working with homes began more than 23 years ago in the mortgage industry, where I developed an understanding of the financial side of homeownership and the decisions that surround buying and financing a home.That experience eventually led me into the property insurance industry where handling multiple commercial and residential property damage claims sometimes catastrophic, further expanded my knowledge from how homes are financed to how they are actually built, repaired and restored.Over the years, I became deeply familiar with construction estimates, building materials, repair decisions, property damage and the many details that can affect a home's condition, function and value.However, alongside having this professional experience there has always been something much more personally felt that I've always carried inside, and that's a deep almost obsessive passion for reimagining homes.I've always instinctively looked at a space and imagined what it could be. In my everyday life I am always reworking floor plans, finding usable space where it seems there isn't any, and identifying changes that can make a home more functional, visually appealing and distinctive.

My two prior careers coming together today has made me a Home Design Consultant that looks at designing as a much bigger opportunity than most.My goal isn't simply to help a homeowner make a room look better. I want to help you look at your home differently—has your lifestyle or taste changed to rearrange? Based on the current economy and job market do you now need to accommodate other family members, or do you need another stream of income and are considering creating a short-term rental space? Or do you fall into the category of desperately trying to make your home stand out from others in a very competitive real estate market to get it sold? Because sometimes the right home isn't the one that's already "perfect". My 60 minute home consultation and walkthrough is designed to identify changes that may improve presentation, functionality and perceived value. We look at layout, finishes, focal points, underused areas and design decisions that may help distinguish the property from comparable homes.My years working with commercial and residential properties, construction estimates, materials and repair decisions gives me a different perspective when I walk through a home. I'm not simply asking:
“How can we decorate this?”
I'm also asking:
“How can we use this space better, and add more while keeping it open?”
“Where can we create value without completely renovating or adding square footage?"
“What could make this property feel unlike every other home people visit?”

The start of something new.....My transition into Home Design Consulting has also inspired the next chapter of my work.
